Download tab

Go to the download tab to download hourly weather data in the EPW file format. Use the radio button to select the type of data to download. Select one of:

 

  • Design Year – where hourly data is downloaded from the Design Year daily database with a wide range of options to configure the data to specific design objectives.

  • Actual Year – where hourly data is downloaded from the Actual Year hourly database.

 

Press the "Download" button at the bottom of the form to start the download. The EPW file will be downloaded to the default Downloads folder on your local machine. The name of the EPW file includes the location as well as the main options used to generate it.

 

In all cases, when an hourly epw weather file is downloaded, the file is generated dynamically from the data held in the Climate Analytics databases.

Note: A Climate Analytics licence is required to access the Download tab.

 

Some browsers may block multiple downloads of files with similar names and this can be an issue when using Climate Analytics. For example Chrome may show this message:

 

 

In this case you should select the option to allow Climate Analytics to download multiple files.
